Cultural and Performing Arts Field Trips
An on-school-time Cultural and Performing Arts Field Trip is often a child’s first introduction to a live performance or opportunity to experience a museum exhibition. The performances and exhibitions provide connections to literature, exposure to different cultures and serve as a catalyst for expanding knowledge and creativity.
During the 2017-2018 school year more than 21,580 students and 2,194 teachers and chaperones had the opportunity to attend 47 shows presented by 27 companies at 10 venues.
These affordable, engaging, educational performances offer downloadable standards-connected teacher resource materials to prepare for the experience and extend learning after.
Each performance or exhibition has been approved for appropriate quality and content as well as educational value.
